About Fibrosis

Fibrosis is a complex, pathologic process involving the development of fibrous connective tissue (scarring) within various organs. This process may be triggered by a dysregulated response to cellular injury, inflammation, genetic signaling, metabolism or toxins. Once present, normal cellular function is impeded.
