Role: Association Scientist - Scientist I Biology/Study Coordinator

Blade Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated detailed oriented biology scientist with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills to help coordinate logistics for Blade’s preclinical studies at contract research organizations (CROs). Additionally, this individual will have the opportunity to conduct translational science research, including biomarker discovery, target engagement, and mechanism of action in relevant cell and disease models. The individual will report to the Director of Biology and will work crossfunctionally with other groups to support various projects and research objectives. The position will be located in South San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide logistic help for various preclinical studies including coordinating drug and reagent shipments to CROs
  • Inventory management, shipment and sample tracking – receiving study samples from CROs, organization and archival of said samples at Blade
  • Management and maintenance of sample databases, summary of study outcomes
  • Organization of existing materials – proteins, cell lines, tissue samples etc.
  • Data analysis and writing of scientific study reports
  • Perform sample analyses and cell-based experiments as needed

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • Passion for scientific research with a strong planning, organizational and operational mindset
  • At least 5 years of biology research laboratory experience in a biopharmaceutical setting
  • Detail oriented, good organizational and communication skills and a team player
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite required
  • Prior experience with inventory management, logistics and database software are pluses

Education

  • B.S, M.S in biology or related field
